We are a family run business who aim to make your stay with us as memorable as possible. We are here to attend to your needs with help and guidance 24/7. We are very approachable and are only a stones throw away as we also live in the village. Colliery cottage is set in the peaceful rural village of Cornsay Colliery 6.8 miles from the beautiful historic cathedral city of Durham. The cottage is within easy reach of the surrounding cities such as Sunderland and Newcastle which have many amenities such as shopping centres, bars, restaurants and entertainment facilities. There are also many attractions close at hand, Beamish Open air museum, Kynren, Hall Hill Farm, Durham luminair, Durham Gala, Metro Radio arena, the Metro Centre, the Sage and Sunderland Illuminations to name a few. We are also within easy reach of the Weardale valley.
